Nurture at St Nicks
One of the key values here at St Nicks is nurture. We place huge importance on the emotional wellbeing of children, staff and parents and want to work together in order to offer support to all.
We want to ensure that we care and nurture each individual in a safe and happy environment to allow them to become confident and independent learners. Our aim is to nurture success and offer support in order for everyone to reach their full potential.
We have two very important people in school who help children on a daily basis with their wellbeing and mental health. They are Miss Hamlyn our Nurture Manager and Mrs Galbraith our Nurture TA. We have two dedicated spaces where they work – The Ark and The Den. As well as these two people all staff are always happy to lend a listening ear and help children in any way possible.
On a Friday morning Miss Hamlyn runs parent coffee mornings at which anyone is welcome. These are a great opportunity to meet new people and to ask any questions you may have in a safe and welcoming environment. If at any time you feel that your child would benefit from a little extra wellbeing support then please let us know and we will do our best to help them.
We will be working with the East Riding Mental Health Support Team
