Our Curriculum

At Beverley St Nicholas Primary School, we aim to provide a curriculum that broadens our children’s horizons and extends the boundaries of their lives. It is underpinned by our four core values:

Community • Nurture • Respect • Resilience

Through our curriculum, we aim to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills and cultural capital they need to succeed in life. We believe that our children deserve a rich, ambitious curriculum that goes beyond the requirements of the National Curriculum and reflects the world they are growing up in.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to be enriched and personalised, taking account of the needs, experiences and interests of our children. It prioritises what we want our pupils to experience, understand and remember during their time with us, while supporting them to become confident, respectful and resilient learners.

This underpins everything we do and supports children to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Each term, families receive a curriculum overview outlining what children will be learning and on a half termly basis there are opportunities for you to come into school for stay and play sessions.   If you would like any further information about our curriculum, please contact your child’s class teacher.
